Due to a freeze warning and wind advisory in the Mid-South region, some flights at Memphis International Airport have been canceled or delayed during spring break.
Nine flights that were supposed to take off on Monday morning have been canceled, according to the airport’s website.
Fifteen additional flights also experienced delays.
This follows Sunday night’s threat of severe storms, destructive winds, and possible tornadoes.
Widespread destructive wind gusts of 60 to 80 mph, which are sufficient to blow down trees and create some power outages, were the main concern.
