A car struck Middle College High School in Midtown on Tuesday morning, injuring one child and others treated at the school after complaining of injuries.
Around 8:30 a.m., a parent who had just dropped off his child suffered a brake failure, according to the police.
The driver of the Infiniti QX80 was turning toward the center of the parking lot when his braking system failed.
The driver said he drove into the school cafeteria window after maneuvering his automobile to avoid hitting another car.
