According to deputies, a woman committed suicide in Dyer County early on Thursday morning after shooting her husband to death, injuring her son, and then purposefully colliding head-on with an 18-wheeler.
Sherry Darlene Lydon was suspected of killing her husband, William John Lydon Jr., while he slept, according to the sheriff’s office.
Before leaving her home, she also allegedly shot her 24-year-old son, who is in critical condition at the hospital.
Lydon passed away from her injuries following the collision, according to deputies. Additionally, they claim that the 18-wheeler’s driver was unharmed.
