xAI intends to cover its Colossus supercomputer facility in southwest Memphis with around 88 acres of solar panels.
This week, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup submitted site proposals for county and city officials to consider.
According to the plans, the company’s data center on Paul R. Lowery Road will be surrounded by solar panels to the west and south.
“We are excited to bring this clean, energy-efficient renewable power solution to our datacenter facility,” the company wrote in its application.
