As part of a nationwide strike against the coffee chain, about a dozen protesters were able to close the Starbucks on Poplar Plaza on Thursday.
Only a few Starbucks employees gathered beneath a tent in front of the store due to the rainy weather conditions.
State Representative Justin J. Pearson joined them, along with union leaders and supporters.
The business closed for the day due to the protest and a shortage of workers at that location.
The action on Thursday was a part of a nationwide strike involving unionized Starbucks stores around the country that started last week.
As of Friday morning, dozens more protestors were gathered in front of the store again.
