On Wednesday, a suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting in downtown Memphis that left rapper Sayso P dead and rapper Sauce Walka injured.
U.S. Marshals detained 23-year-old Memphis resident Kevin “KJ” Brown Jr. in Clarksville, Tennessee.
First-degree murder, two counts of felony criminal attempt, two counts of using a handgun while committing a dangerous felony, and property theft are among the charges against Brown.
The incident took place on March 22 in downtown Memphis, close to the Westin Hotel. According to Memphis Police, Latorian Hunt, also known as Sayso P, was found dead in the street when they arrived.
Nearby, Albert Mondane, often known as Sauce Walka, was found severely injured.
Before the warrant could be served, Jayden Dandridge, another suspect in the shooting, was found dead in Houston.
