An arrest warrant has been issued by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for a second suspect who is suspected of murdering an 18-year-old in Cordova in August.
18-year-old Antwain Carrick is wanted for using a firearm while committing a violent crime and first-degree murder.
Carrick is charged with Antonio Sykes Jr.’s murder on August 22.
According to reports, deputies discovered Sykes dead inside a vehicle parked outside of establishments near the junction of Chimneyrock Boulevard and Berryhill Road.
A week after the murder, the first suspect, 18-year-old Trenton Harris, was apprehended in Georgia.
Harris, who is presently being detained at the Shelby County Jail on a $1 million bail, is also facing first-degree murder charges.
