Shelby County Clerks offices are being heavily impacted as more state troopers and federal agents continue their work with the Memphis Safe Task Force.
Since the arrival of National Guards assisting local law enforcement, more drivers have lined up to get their license plates renewed to avoid getting stopped.
Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert said, “We’ve noticed in the last couple of days that the traffic has tremendously picked up. You can come in the morning, and the line is outside the back door, and yesterday we noticed the line outside the back and the front,”
