Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump says former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick will pay for a second autopsy on the Delta State University student who was discovered hanging from a tree on campus.
Kapernick will cover the costs through his “Know Your Rights Camp Autopsy Initiative.”
Demartravion Reed died by suicide, according to the Mississippi Medical Examiner’s Office’s conclusions.
Similarly, the county coroner and university police stated that there is no indication of foul play in Reed’s death.
Reed’s family’s legal team have stated they will perform an independent autopsy.
