Three men were found guilty by a federal jury of their roles in a string of violent bank robberies in 2023 that resulted in the shooting deaths of two individuals and the theft of almost $200,000.
Memphis locals Courtney Trenell, Devin Hinds, and Joshua Cribbs, were convicted of four bank robberies, several of which involved the use of guns.
Trenell, Hinds, and Cribbs conspired to rob banks in and around Memphis between April 2023 and December 2023, according to evidence presented at trial.
The group robbed five banks and took more than $170,000 in cash. Following a failed sixth robbery attempt, the co-defendants and an armed security guard engaged in gunfire, during which the robbers shot two victims.
