Buried in the myriad lies the Democrats and their media propagated for years (Russia hoax, Trump impeachments and lawfare prosecutions, COVID myths, the border being secure, Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation, inflation was transitory, the Afghanistan withdrawal was a success, Robert Hur lied when he said Biden wasn’t sharp, cheap fakes, Biden won’t drop out, nor will he ever pardon Hunter) is the fake virtue signaling that Dems manufactured. Mostly the theme is “We are the party of ‘No one is above the law.’”
Well apparently, Hunter Biden legally changed his name to “No One.”
Joe Biden pardoned his son for illegalities dating back more than ten years, to when he was put on the Ukrainian oil company Burisma’s board of directors. Joe appeared to brag on tape that when he had the Obama Ukraine portfolio, he urged for prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was apparently part of the office investigating Burisma, to be fired due to what Biden said was the prosecutor not cracking down on corruption.
In perhaps the height of hypocritical hubris, Joe Biden said his son was targeted. If anything, the feds gave Hunter very special treatment. They let statues of limitations run out and tried to cut a sneaky sweetheart deal. Hunter brought in millions in foreign money, and a jury convicted him of failing to pay taxes. The feds never asked, “Where did the money come from?”
The Bidens have more than 20 shell companies yet produce not a single thing. The feds not following up on where the millions came from is like a cop pulling you over for speeding, finding a dead body in your trunk, handing you the speeding ticket and saying, “Drive safely. Have a nice day.”
It was a bad year for Hunter leading up to this pardon. His felonies are now on record. Dad’s no longer going to be there to protect him. And Hooters closed over 40 stores.
Drugs, prostitutes, etc. — Hunter’s loyalty to the Democrats cannot be questioned; he’s always put party first.
Dems always want to layer another “gun law” upon the many we have, thinking that will help. One they layered on, sponsored by Joe Biden, is the one that got Hunter. In short, like most gun laws, it is easy to lie on the form if you are a criminal. Hunter was found guilty of saying he was not on drugs when he bought a gun. To be fair, Hunter “just said no to drugs” many times, but drugs would not listen.
It will be a busy holiday season for the Bidens. There will be many things to batten down before Joe leaves office. Hunter and Joe’s brother Jim (who will also likely be pardoned), are going to be sending Christmas cards to nefarious foreign governments wishing them a merry holiday season and reminding them: Sorry, no refunds.
I am not one to think the feds should spend a lot of money chasing after an entitled, drug-addicted dilettante like Hunter. We need to move forward. But what I would like to see is the depth and breadth of the Biden grift over his 50 years in politics and how he got so wealthy as a “public servant.” It might serve as a roadmap to avoid this in the future and shine lights on our blind spots.
The real cost is not what the Bidens stole for themselves, but the fact that we won’t know if the billions of taxpayers’ money we’ve sent to Ukraine and the like was because they were compromised. Also, the media’s lack of curiosity should be examined.
White House DEI spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, who lied for years that Joe would not pardon Hunter, doubled down on the disingenuousness by oddly saying “war politics” caused the investigation into Hunter. The motto of the Biden Administration should be “The best way out of a predicament is to accelerate it!”
Maybe she was saying Joe would never pardon Hunter but forgot to add: “Not without a bribe he wouldn’t.”
Two things we should remember from this sad tale. One is how easy it is to be corrupt if the Deep State has your back. Second, the pompous, self-righteous way Democrats went after Trump and ignored the Bidens. They pretend to have the moral high ground. In politics no one does.
