LOCAL | Tipton County Elementary Teacher Charged With Public Intoxication In School

Due to intoxication at school, a Munford elementary school teacher was arrested on Monday.

Melissa Rose, a third-grade teacher, has been charged with public intoxication, child endangerment, and having an open container, according to the Munford Police Department.

Munford Police said they were notified after Rose’s troubling behavior was noticed by school personnel.

After conducting an investigation right away, the school resource officer concluded that there was probable cause to make an arrest.

After being arrested, Rose was transported to the Tipton County Jail.

According to Munford Police, the investigation is still ongoing.
