It’s the season of green and many Memphians will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day downtown for the Silky O’Sullivan’s 51st annual parade.
Everyone attending is expected to wear green and for some people, to go all out with costumes.
The parade will begin Saturday on Beale Street at 2 p.m. Like any other parade, there will be floats, marching bands and much more.
Mayor Paul Young will also be featured as this year’s parade king.
