As All Hallows’ Eve looms nigh in the Bluff City, residents were asked to weigh in on their favorite sweet treats for the occasion.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Commercial Appeal, of the dozen candies listed on their ballot, the top three contenders were all chocolates, as Snickers won first place with 30.8% of the vote, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups won second place with 26% of the vote, and Twix won third place with 12.5% of the vote.
Ironically, despite a nationwide survey that placed it in the top spot of all its sugary foes, Sour Patch Kids barely managed to get even 1% of the vote amongst Memphians polled, further proving that we as the United States are bound together despite the differences in state cultures and sweet tooths.
