The Memphis-Shelby County School’s state-appointed board is meeting on Thursday after a major legal stall that’s lasted months.
On the agenda for Thursday, it includes a transformation plan, along with an MSCS audit, and an assessment on what sorts of things are going to be required moving forward.
One of the major topics of conversation will also be how the budget will be allocated. This, of course, comes from the findings made over the Summer of $119.6M in potential waste, fraud, and abuse.
A federal judge has already recently confirmed that once he feels that the board is ready to work, he would lift the July order.
