A major traffic announcement was made by the Arkansas Department of Transportation as Highway 77 will be closed between I-40 and Highway 191 all the way through 2028.
This move will allow plenty of time and space for construction crews to complete their work for a new Highway 77 railroad overpass and general roadway improvements.
The closures are scheduled to start on Wednesday, October 7.

All sorts of signs will be posted throughout in order to keep travelers informed including barricades, electronic signs, and barrier walls.
