Police have charged two people after an altercation escalated into a man pulling out a gun at the Memphis Zoo on Tuesday afternoon.
20-year-old Kevin Nguyen is facing two charges including one for Aggravated Assault, and 24-year-old Alisha Johnson is facing a single assault charge.
Reports from bystanders indicated that an argument is what started it all between two groups visiting the zoo. Employees immediately contacted an on-site officer once a fight broke out, which is when Nguyen pulled out his weapon. No shots were fired.
Even though the Memphis Zoo prohibits firearms inside, they do not conduct security checks.
