It’s officially been a year since Donald Trump signed a memorandum sending the Memphis Safe Task Force to the Bluff City, and the President is saying that overall crime has gone done by 36% since then.
As of today, the Memphis Safe Task Force has made 12,747 arrests, seized 2,160 illegal firearms, and recovered 189 missing children.
President Trump says Memphis is set to see a 25-year low in overall crime, with City Councilman Jeff Warren echoing this sentiment, stating, “So having more manpower, as the police department moves forward, is actually going to continue to help us keep and maintain this, is what the goal should be.”
