Last Friday, a Memphis man found guilty of a deadly double shooting involving two Covington women over five years ago was given a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Treon Ingram was charged in July 2022 with shooting and killing Anita Wilson and wounding Darnisha Wynn-McLeod.
The two women were reportedly leaving a Covington High School football game. The suspect’s vehicle obstructed the victim’s car as it approached the intersection.
According to authorities, two masked suspects leaped out of a white Mercedes-Benz brandishing weapons as the victim’s car was stopped and started firing, hitting them multiple times.
Both patients were transported to a medical facility. Wilson eventually passed away from her wounds, but Wynn-McLeod recovered.
