On Tuesday, work on the Wolf River Bridge on Collierville-Arlington Road is scheduled to start, closing off a portion of the road for repairs that should take more than a year.
Drivers will have to find other ways to get to their destinations once bridge work starts.
Although repairs won’t be completed until the spring of 2028, the bridge is anticipated to reopen to traffic in October of the following year, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
After inspections revealed issues with the bridge’s condition, DOT made the decision to accelerate the schedule for repairs.
During this closure, workers will repair a second bridge in the area.
