The 2026 Swearing-in Ceremony was held by the Shelby County Board of Commissioners to formally welcome newly elected officials as they begin their terms of service to the county’s citizens.
Following a swearing-in ceremony, almost thirty elected officials, including the new mayor of Shelby County, took the oath of office on Monday at the Cannon Center.
A packed auditorium in downtown Memphis Monday filled with top Shelby County officials, their loved ones and other community members.
Many of those sworn in took the oath for the first time, but some are returning to their previous positions.
