British actor Tim Curry, whose lengthy career including a breakout role in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” passed away. He was 80 years old.
His manager, Marcia Hurwitz, confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that he passed away at his Los Angeles home. The reason of death was not disclosed right away.
Since having a stroke in 2012, the actor has experienced health problems. Last year, he used a wheelchair to attend a 50th anniversary screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
Curry’s big break came from his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in “Rocky Horror,” but he was also well-known for his roles as the terrifying clown Pennywise in “It,” Rooster in the 1982 remake of “Annie,” Wadsworth in “Clue” in 1985, Hector in “Home Alone 2”, among others.
