FedEx and the Air Line Pilots Association have achieved a tentative deal that may lead to large pay increases after nearly five years of negotiations.
Only a few months have passed since FedEx pilots staged a picket outside the FedEx Corporation Executive Offices to seek a higher-paying contract.
Pilots attempted amending a 2015 labor contract in 2021, sparking a back-and-forth between FedEx and the pilots’ union.
“This tentative agreement was reached after lengthy and intensive mediation under the supervision of the National Mediation Board,” said Capt. Jose Nieves, chair of the FedEx ALPA Master Executive Council. “The next step is completing the MEC review and providing pilots with the information needed to evaluate the agreement.”
