The residence of murdered former Memphis Grizzlies player Lorenzen Wright was destroyed by a massive fire that started Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
The house on Classic Drive caught fire around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to fire officials, 55 firefighters were at the scene fighting the flames.
One firefighter had a shoulder injury, which also caused damage to the house next door, according to the SCFD.
Wright, who was murdered in July 2010 and whose corpse was discovered a few days later in a secluded Memphis field off Hacks Cross Road, was the owner of the house.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire.
