According to Memphis Police, a woman who was charged with fatally striking a six-year-old boy with her car in Frayser has been taken into custody.
Kenyunte Goss is charged with driving while license suspended, revoked, or cancelled and financial responsibility.
Officers stated that they responded to a pedestrian who had been struck at Signal Street and Whitney Avenue at approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday.
According to police, Goss was driving westboun on Whitney Avenue when the victim was struck by the front end of her Chrysler 200.
After being sent to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition, the child was declared dead.
