Voters in Mississippi will cast ballots on Tuesday as Republicans and Democrats will choose their candidates for the general election.
Though history indicates it would be challenging, state leaders are hoping for a high turnout.
Less than 50% of registered voters participate in midterm elections, even in the greatest years, and these figures are usually lower in primaries.
Voting will take place around the state from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. As long as you are in line by the time the polls close, you will be able to cast your vote.
Verify your polling location and make sure you have a legitimate photo ID with you.
