A recovering Memphis police officer has already had one surgery and will need several more to recover.
Officer Oscar Torres-Molina was shot in the face on Thursday night while conducting a routine traffic stop in Parkway Village.
The officer said that Torres-Molina is a patrolman who recently relocated to the Mount Moriah precinct and has been with the MPD for at least three years.
To ease the financial burden on Officer Torres-Molina and his family while he works on his recovery, a GoFundMe page has been created.
