Four people connected to four separate homicides in Memphis were captured this week, according to members of the Memphis Safe Task Force.
The task force said the homicide suspects were arrested on February 23 and 24 on four separate warrants.
“In one day, we were able to get four of the worst of the worst off the street,” said U.S. Marshals Service Chief Inspector Chad Hunt, Commander of the Memphis Safe Task Force. “Thankfully, we were able to capture these four suspects before they were able to do any further harm to Memphians. This is why we are here doing what we are doing.”
19-year-old Javarion Ford was taken into custody on charges of aggravated robbery, first-degree murder, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
A known gang member, 32-year-old Marvin Lanehart, was taken into custody for a homicide that occurred in March 2025.
