Following a two-year lawsuit, a judge has ordered the Town of Collierville to authorize a new Chick-fil-A, a city official said on Thursday.
The well-known chicken sandwich restaurant was planning to construct a new site near Bray Road and West Poplar back in 2024.
However, due to the possibility of heavy traffic in the area, the Collierville Board of Mayor Aldermen voted against it by a vote of 5 to 1. The landowner filed a lawsuit, and the judge has now mandated that the plans be approved.
