Six known gang members were taken into custody by the Memphis Police Department’s Multi-Agency Gang Unit and Fugitive Unit on Wednesday near Whitehaven.
According to authorities, both units were conducting an investigation on Bermuda Run on February 18.
Officers noticed that people inside the house were attempting to escape through the attic as they surrounded the house.
Six known gang members were found inside the house, according to the officers, and they were brought into custody.
They found two handguns, two rifles, roughly eight pounds of marijuana, pills, a digital scale, and a significant amount of cash.
The following were charged:
- Robert Young, 30 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell (Marijuana), Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
- Decorian Young, 31 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana, Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
- Antonio Benton, 29 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana, Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
- Mardarius Lee, 30 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana, Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun. Lee also had active federal warrants for weapon-related charges.
- Kordae Johnson, 19 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana, Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
- Quentin Burnside, 25 – Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana, Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. Burnside also had outstanding warrants for Attempted Second-Degree Murder, seven counts of Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
