A woman from Oklahoma has been extradited to Memphis and is being held at the Shelby County jail in connection with the 2007 murder of a man at an apartment complex in Cordova.
The individual in question is 49-year-old Sarah Lucas. Initially, Her mother Tammy Vance, and Andrew Hayes were found guilty of Danny Harris’ beating death. Since then, Vance has passed away.
Steve Mulroy, the district attorney for Shelby County, said last month that Hayes was wrongfully convicted and alleged that Lucas helped her mother in committing the murder.
Mulroy said that after 27 hours of interrogation, Hayes made up a confession to Harris’ murder. Lucas was booked at the 201 Poplar jail in Memphis for facilitation of first-degree murder and aggravated perjury.
