The city of Memphis said in a press release Friday morning that garbage pickups will be resumed by City Solid Waste collection services.
Team Waste, the city’s third-party collection contractor, is also starting up again and will follow the same recovery schedule.
This follows the suspension of garbage pickup because of the hazardous and icy road conditions caused by last week’s winter storm.
Although there are still a few isolated icy patches on the roads, the city reported that they have greatly improved.
Residents are asked to set their garbage cans back at the curb as they would on their usual collection day
