According to MLGW, users of the Memphis utility company might be taken aback when they see their February bill.
People are running heaters longer and harder to fight the cold as a result of the prolonged extreme weather.
This comes after the winter storm that hit the Mid-South last week and has still lingered over a week later.
According to MLGW CEO Doug McGowen, future gas and electricity bills will reflect the higher usage.
He advised them to contact MLGW right away for help and payment options.
