Announcemnets went out mid-day Tuesday, that most all public and private schools in the Memphis area will take another snow day on Thursday. The University of Memphis campus and events will be closed, but students will contiue to attend their remote classes on line.
While tempuratures remain at or below freezing, snow, sleeet and ice continue to persist on streets and sidewalks. The city of Memphis says it will take several more days to get the roads clear and encourages people to stay home.
Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Desoto County, Germantown, Lakeland, Memphis-Shelby County & Millington schools will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28th.
University of Memphis, Rhodes, Christian Brothers University & LeMoyne-Owen College will hold online classes.
