Verizon announced on Thursday that the hours-long outage that caused cell phone service to stop yesterday has been fixed. Customers who were affected will receive a $20 account credit.
Verizon said in a statement that they let customers down and adding that those impacted will receive account credits. Customers were unable to access data, send text messages, or make phone calls during this time.
Customers in the Mid-South lost their signal around noon and got an S.O.S signal instead.
Those who were affected can redeem the credit by logging onto their My Verizon app.
