The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a video this morning showing a protestor blocking a THP vehicle in traffic during anti-ICE protests over the weekend in Memphis.
THP claimed in a statement on Tuesday that no trooper has ever run anyone over, despite “narratives circulating on social media.”
They also posted on Facebook saying, “In Memphis, there are social media posts alleging that an individual was hit by a Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper. This is false. In this case, video clearly shows the individual holding onto the front of the trooper’s vehicle, lying down, then standing right back up afterwards and leaving the scene under his own power.”
