A native Memphian was named second-in-command of the U.S. Marshals Service by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The Marshals Service stated in a news statement on December 23 that Stephanie Creasy has been appointed deputy director. In the position’s centuries-long history, she is the first female.
Although Creasy has been acting as deputy director since July, she has now been officially appointed in the position.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Memphis and a master’s degree from Troy University in Alabama.
