Ford announced on Monday that it will begin manufacturing gas-powered Built Ford Tough truck models in 2029.
The expanded manufacture of gas-powered Tough truck variants at the Stanton Facility replaced Ford’s initial announcement that it would start producing EV trucks in 2028.
The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center on the BlueOval City location will be renamed Tennessee Truck Plant.
The new electric trucks will now be manufactured by Ford at a facility in Dearborn, Michigan.
