According to Oakland Police, an investigation is in progress after suspects stole an ATM from a bank in Fayette County and dragged it with a stolen truck.
Early on Monday morning, according to Oakland Police, suspects ripped an ATM from the Bank of Fayette County on Highway 64 and Highway 196 out of the ground and then drive north on Highway 196.
According to investigators, the truck in question was stolen from Haywood County, and a week prior, a similar event involving a stolen truck occurred in Haywood County.
Oakland Police has stated that this is an ongoing investigation and has not yet disclosed whether any arrests were made.
