There hasn’t been blue smoke rising from the athletic department indidcating that the search is over for the next head coach of The Memphis Tigers football program, but all signs point to Southern Mississippi head coach, Charles Huff.
Huff has a long list of programs on his resume. From Marshall, Alabama, Penn State, Mississippi State and The Buffalo Bills. Huff’s most recent stop on the coaching train is Southern Miss where he coached one year and took the program from a 1-11 to a 7-5 season. Huff has extensive experience working with running backs which plays well with the rich history of successful running backs at Memphis.
The money will be there to build on a program that has been without a conference championship since Mike Norvell.
