The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office said on Thursday that a juvenile accused of murdering a 15-year-old in April is facing adult charges.
According to D.A. Steve Mulroy’s office, 17-year-old Jesse Martinez Jr., has been moved to adult court and is now accused with First Degree Murder in Perpetration of a Felony for killing Michael Aguilar.
Martinez was arrested on Tuesday and freed on a $45,000 bail, according to jail records.
Aguilar was shot on April 20 on Grahamdale street and later died at Regional One Hospital.
