Coach Ryan Silverfield’s move to the University of Arkansas was officially announced on Sunday morning.
He leaves the University of Memphis with a record of 50 wins and 25 losses since taking over as head coach in 2019.
This year, he ended his final season with 8 regular season wins, and 2 losses.
Memphis has yet to play in their bowl game later this month.
The University of Memphis Athletics released the following statement: “We thank Coach Silverfield for his leadership over the past six seasons and wish him and his family the best in their next chapter. Reggie Howard will serve as the interim head coach.”
