MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was taken to Regional One after he accidentally shot himself in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shops downtown, according to Memphis Police.
Officers say they responded to the shooting at 4:17 p.m. at Bass Pro Drive on Monday.
The man told police he went into the business to sell his gun; however, he ended up not selling it because of the prices he was quoted. The man said he got back into his vehicle and was loading his weapon when he forgot there were bullets in the chamber.
As a result, police said a round was fired into his left thigh.
He was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
