More information regarding the gunfire that broke out at the Wolfchase Galleria mall earlier this week was revealed by new security footage.
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) has charged Yahir Mejia with second-degree murder in relation to the incident.
Mejia claimed in an affidavit that he shot a man, eventually identified as Erik Sandoval, in self-defense.
Sandoval and Mejia were seen arguing on camera in a store before walking out together. Mejia claimed that the shooting happened after the victim struck him in the face.
