Tennessee Attorney General, Jonathan Skrmetti was on Ditch & Tim’s show this morning discussing the states response to the lawsuit filed by Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris that attempts to stops the “force multiplier” in the fight against crime in Memphis, claiming that the deployment of the Tennessee Guard was an overreach by Gov. Bill Lee. The plaintiffs Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, Commissioner Erika Sugarmon, Commissioner Henri Brooks, City Councilman JB Smiley Jr. , Representative GA Hardaway, Representative Gabby Salinas and Senator Jeff Yarbro were represented in Chancery Court in Nashville by Skye Perryman of Democracy Forward, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that has a wealthy donor list.
