UPDATE: One unidentified person has been confirmed dead from the shooting.
There was a shooting inside the Wolfchase Galleria on Monday afternoon. Immediately following the shooting, at least two dozen police officers rushed inside the mall.
The Memphis Police Department referred to it as a “isolated incident” and clarified that it was not an active shooter situation. Around 2:00 p.m., the first gunshot report was reported. The location was secured, according to MPD, an hour later.
Unmarked police enforcement cars and Tennessee Highway Patrol officers were spotted near the mall.
