As of this weekend, the Memphis Safe Task Force has located and safely returned 101 missing children in addition to clearing over 1,000 Memphis warrants, according to U.S. Marshals.
Homicide, drug offenses, guns, and sexual offenses are a few examples of warrant charges. This included 264 drug warrants and 203 firearm warrants, according to the authorities.
According to U.S. Marshals, the Task Force has detained 2,342 people on a variety of crimes. Additionally, 389 illicit firearms have been removed from circulation.
“We are happy that we have been able to use our fugitive hunting skills to assist local and state authorities with finding these missing children.,” said Emily Williams, U.S. Marshals Spokesperson. “What a testament to our partnerships to be able to work these cases together. While investigative work is tedious, locating missing and endangered children is one of the things we are most proud of.”
