The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has reported the capture of a man wanted for the weekend shooting death of a woman in Cordova.
According to the sheriff’s office, Marcus Dotson was arrested Monday morning and charged with first-degree murder.
Deputies were alerted to a shooting on Manslick Road shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday. They discovered a woman with a gunshot wound lying on the floor of a house.
According to the sheriff’s office, the woman, who was later identified as 32-year-old Yesica Juarez, was declared dead at the scene.
