A gang member and three men armed with machine guns were arrested at a residence in Southwest Memphis on Monday afternoon, according to the Memphis Safe Task Force.
Demario Noel, Martavious Matthews, Brandon Green ,and Ladarius Brown, were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a property near Washburn Avenue.
The task force reported that more than 1,200 people had been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon.
On September 29, the task force began operations. Since then, statistics show a 50% decrease in murders, a 60% decrease in auto theft, and a 60% decrease in sexual assault.
