In a social media post Thursday morning, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi gave an update on the Memphis Safe Task Force’s work, stating that 144 illegal firearms had been seized and 562 arrests had been made.
One day prior to the National Guard’s scheduled arrival in Memphis, the news was made.
The Memphis task force, according to officials, was composed of more than a dozen federal agencies, including the FBI, DEA, ATF, and U.S. Marshals.
“Arrests include multiple gang members, including one wanted for murder, and an illegal alien juvenile arrested with approximately two pounds of methamphetamines,” Bondi announced in the post from Saturday.
Federal law enforcement officers continue to do heroic work—unpaid—during this Democrat Shutdown to make America safe again.
